His will was dated February 9, 1771, and probated September 6, 1771.
He was for many years a Deacon in the Church at North Stonington CT, the town of Stonington having been divided into two parishes in 1727.
He married, first, April 20, 1720 (before he was 20 years old), Ann Brown of Stonington. She was born February 1, 1699/1700, and died March 11, 1766. Just two months and three days afterwards, on May 14, 1766, he married, second, Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas and Persis (Cleveland) Hewitt. She was born April 12, 1709.

Thomas married (1) Elizabeth HEWITT, daughter of Thomas HEWITT III and Persis CLEVELAND, on 14 May 1766. Elizabeth was born 12 Apr 1709 in Plainfield, Windham Co., Connecticut.

Thomas also married (2) Annah BROWN, daughter of Eleazer BROWN and Ann PENDLETON, on 20 Apr 1720 in Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut. Annah was born 1 Feb 1699/1700 in Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut. She died 11 Mar 1766 in Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut and was buried in Brown Cementery, No. Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut.

Annah was christened 30 Jun 1700 in Stonington, New London, CT.
