I am searching for information about my family in the Augusta Ga area. My grandfather was Vernon D LaMar. He had four brothers.
Horatio, Lavosier, Money (don't remember is real name) and a
brother who died very early. My great grandfather's name was
Zachariah, I believe he had a brother name Hillary. My understanding is, my great grandfather was born out of wedlock to one of the LaMar's in Richmond County Georgia and a Indian woman. I have a picture of my great grandfather. My great grandfather married a black woman named Katie Vincent, also of Augusta, GA. My uncle, Horatio, taught school a Laney High School. Anyone with any information about the history of my great grandfathers please share. I know there was a connection with a riverboat.
