Jacob was in the Revolutionary War, and was assigned to A Company, 6th Regiment. His military service record is said to be located in the Nat. archives in Rev war rolls, Part #2, Roll #82, Jacket #32+33. in Washington DC. His Military marker was placed on his wife's grave.
Jacob entered the service from Newton, Berks County, Pa.
Jacobs Bapst. records were found in the records of Rev. Daniel Schumacher, at the age of 14 days. Sponsors listed were John Jacob Albrecht and Catherine.
