Notes for Walter Harris: Walter Harris had a wooden leg and many years after he died, his Great Niece Pam Dray nee. Harris recalls stories told to her be her father of how they would play tricks on each other and pretend that it was Walter by imitating the sound of his stump. i.e. Step, thump, step, thump.
