29. Christopher William VANDERZANT was born on 1 Dec 1953 in Bryan, TX. Education: B.S. in Biology from Texas A&M University in 1975. D.O. from Texas College Of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979. Interned at Doctors Hospital, Columbus, OH 1979-1980. Resident in Neurology University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI 1980-1983. Assistant Professor Neurology Department, University Of Michigan-1983-1988. Private practice in Hollywood, Florida-1988-1992. Private practice in San Angelo, Texas, since 1992. He is associated with the Angelo Clinic Association, now a part of the Shannon Health System.

"A tip of the alumni hat goes to Dr. Christopher Vanderzant '79 who received the highest grade on FLEX according to the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners. He ranked first out of 969 physicians taking the test last June. At graduation, Dr. Vanderzant was awarded the Upjohn Award for academic excellence as the highest ranking student in his class."
