He was a soldier in the FRENCH AND INDIAN WARS; was at Louisburg, Lake George, and other Battles; he was a Lieutenant in the REVOLUTIONARY ARMY and was his three sons fought with him at the BATTLE OF BENNIGTON; he was at the surrendor of Burgoyone at Saratoga.
