2. ROBERT2 LATIMER II (ROBERT1) was born February 05, 1663/64 in New London Connecticut, and died November 02, 1728 in New London Connecticut. He married (1) ELIZABETH DYMOND, daughter of THOMAS DYMOND and ELIZABETH BRADLEY. She was born August 14, 1672 in New London Connecticut, and died October 15, 1693 in New London Connecticut. He married (2) ELIZABETH BUCK Abt. 1697 in New London Ct., daughter of HENRY BUCK and ELIZABETH CHURCHILL. She was born June 06, 1670 in Wethersfield Connecticut, and died April 13, 1752 in New London Connecticut.

Notes for ROBERT LATIMER II:
. Robert Latimer II married Elizabeth Dymond on January 5, 1692/1693. They had one child, Robert Jr, (b: 1693) and Elizabeth died in childbirth. Robert then married a widow, Elizabeth (Buck) Buttolph, whose first son, Jonathan, is our ancestor. Robert Latimer II amassed a considerable estate in land. Beside the homestead in town, he purchased the Royce and Comstock lots, on Williams and Vauxhall Streets, covering the ridge of Post Hill. Westward of the town plot, he inherited a considerable tract of swamp and cedar land, on one portion of which Cedar Grove Cemetery was laid out in 1851, the land having to that time remained in the possession of his descendants. He owned likewise a farm at Black Point, and an unmeasured quantity of wild land in the woods, in what is now Chesterfield Society, in Montville.

Robert Latimer, Jr. was elected deputy of the Colonial Legislature in 1705 and held that office for several years in succession. In 1717 he was a member of the governor's council. He was chosen again in 1720 and held this position until his death eight years later

He is buried in the graveyard beside the North Parish Congregational Church in New London, Connecticut

BORN FEBRUARY 5, 1664
DIED NOVEMBER 27, 1728
