John Miller II (son of Henry Miller, Jr. and Achsah Warner) was born January 09, 1785 in "Sunnyside" in Rappahannock County, Virginia, USA, and died October 27, 1831 in "Pleasant View", Old Jackson Home, Rappahannock County, Virginia, USA. He married Jane Jackson on June 29, 1812 in Virginia, daughter of Richard Jackson III and Phoebe Corder.

John Miller II was the second son of Henry II and Ashsah (Warner) Miller. He was born 9 January 1785, at "Sunnyside", Rappahannock County, Virginia, USA.

John Miller II married Jane Jackson of Rappahannock County, Virginia, USA on 29 February 1812. Jane was born 9 February 1797. Jane Jackson's father, Richard Jackson, was the uncle of the 7th President Andrew Jackson. David Miller a brother of John II married Jane's sister Abigail Jackson.

"Pleasant View", the old Jackson home in Rappahannock County, Virginia, USA, became the home of John II and Jane Miller. They had eight children.

John Miller II died on 27 October 1831, two months before the birth of their son David Darius Miller. It was probably at "Pleasant View "that he died. Jane died 1 August 1841.

There is little to find on John Miller II. While rereading on John II there was a reference which gave him the title D. D. M. This could mean that at sometime he became a Doctor of Dental Medicine.

Aylett, wife Mary Eliza (Miller), his brother Jackson and wife Lucy (Miller), (sister of Mary Eliza, these couples were first cousins) traveled by covered wagon to Missouri, USA. In the early days seven Miller families traveled west to Missouri, USA.

There is an story of interest from Missouri, USA, concerning the outlaw Jesse James and a link to the Rappahannock County Miller family. Nancy Hitt, whose mother was Sarah (James) Hitt of Fauquier County, Virginia, USA, was related to Jesse James. Nancy Hitt was the wife of John Miller I, of "Mountain Green", son of Henry Miller I.

The Millers, in Joplin, Missouri, USA, owned a ranch. History relates that at "The Miller Ranch", in 1878, Jesse James was shot down by five officers who were trying to trap and capture him. The story was handed by a relative, Frances Carter (a sister of Lucy and Mary Eliza (Miller) Miller. It is interesting to consider "The Miller Ranch" was the site of the killing of Jesse James. History also states that there were two Miller boys Clell and James, who rode with Jesse. However these names have not been found in the Miller families writings.
