"November 30, 1897....Died November 27th at Decatur, Mrs. Eliza J. Fox, aged about 70 years. She leaves a husband and seven children. On Monday, the funeral services were conducted in the Chapel by the Rev. J. W. Canter of the Methodist Church South Episcopal, after which her body was conveyed to Dutch Hollow and laid to rest."
