David Jackson Fox (son of John Fox, Sr. and Barbara Huff)^{291, 292, 293, 293} was born November 1820 in Greenbrier Junction, Randolph County , West Virginia, USA, and died October 20, 1900 in Moffetts Creek, Augusta County, Virginia, USA²⁹³. He married Eliza Jane Taylor on November 04, 1841 in City Hall - Staunton - (Augusta County), Virginia, USA, daughter of William L. Taylor and Nancy Aylor.

David Jackson Fox in the 1830 census has the family living in Augusta County, Virginia, USA. He was a shoemaker by trade. Of the 14 children, one son was born stillborn and two daughters died before the age of two. Both David and Eliza Jane were buried in Dutch Hollow Cemetery beside two of their sons George Henry and Edward Lewis. For some reason George Henry is the only one of the family with a grave marker.

"November 1, 1900 - Died - Fox -- near Moffetts Creek, October 20, 1900 Mr. Davis Jackson Fox aged about 85 years. He had a family of 14 children of whom he raised 11."
