Thomas Rowe, born April 22 1784 at or near Coryton, Devonshire. About 1812, near Tavistock, Devonshire, he married Mary Cotton, b June 8 1790, likely near Tavistock, Devonshire, England. It is said after their marriage they moved to and lived near Middlemoor, which is near Whitchurch, Devonshire, England. Mary and Thomas row's 11 children were all baptized in the Whitchurch Anglican Parish church.

In 1855, when Thomas Rowe was 70 years old, he and his wife Mary along with six of their children, emigrated to Canada, where three of their children were now residents, Susan, John and Jane came in 1842, (Jane died in 1844), son Thomas came to Canada in 1848. In an article now recorded in the Rowe Family archives, from the Woodstock Sentinel Review, about the Rowe Reunion held in 1912, at the home of Mr J C Rowe, (Spruce Lawn), in honoring their early ancestors, Mary and Thomas Rowe, it states, for their first year in Canada they lived an a farm one mile south of Woodstock, then they moved north and two miles East of Hickson and lived on the farm known as Lot # 20, Concession # 14, East Zorra Township, County of Oxford. This article states they both died while on Lot # 20, Thomas, February 23 1868, Mary January 22 1870. They were both buried in the Huntingford Anglican Cemetery, at Huntingford, five miles north of Woodstock, Ontario. (It is also reported, they both died on their son, Thomas's farm one mile north of Hickson on # 59 Highway, known as Lot # 23, Concession # 12, East Zorra Township, County of Oxford.)...

Oliver Franklin Blake, born April 11 1864, Belvedere, Boon County, Illinois, U.S.A. When he was roughly one year old his parents, George and Catherine along with their five children, (a son John died as an infant in Illinois in 1860), returned to Canada. They settled on Lot # 18, Concession # 10, East Sorra township, Oxford County, (this farm is seven miles north of Woodstock, and one mile west of # 59 highway). On February 27 1885 , He married Elizabeth Cowing, born January 4 1864, on the West Half of Lot # 19, Concession # 16, East Zorra Township, Oxford County. Elizabeth Cowing was the daughter of Mary Ann (Murray), 1833--1884 and Jown Cowing, 1811--1879. (they are my Great Grand Parents).


Elizabeth and Oliver Blake's children were all born on the East Half of Lot # 19, concession # 10 East Zorra Township, Oxford County, Ontario (seven miles north of Woodstock). Both daughters died when children, they along with their parents were buried in the Baptist Cemetery, At Woodstock.
