There is only one Lyddieth family. I have so far gone back to the late eighteenth century/early nineteenth century. 'ieth' means 'dwellers of' Lydd is a river in North Wales. From different genealogical sources, i have learnt that a surname came suggest where a family originates from and/or what they did for a living. Centuries ago, the nobility of the country were known by the area which they goverened. I would like to find out if the Lyddieth's were in fact nobility, or if not, where the name then came from. As far as i've gone back, they all live in Lancashire, England, so i haven't got back to Wales yet. My dad didn't know any more than the descendants of his grandfather. I have found living descendants of two generations further back than that and have been in touch with some of them. A reunion, or rather, meeting may happen at some point in the future but not yet. I know of relatives as widespread as Australia. I haven't been able to get in touch with them yet but I would very much like to.
