48. Julia Ellen BERNICKER ⁽²⁹⁾ was born in 1909. The hurt felt by Julia's mother was carried on by Julia. In response to a request by Allen Lyons in 1977 for any information she might have about the family, Julia wrote:

"Mr. Lyons.
"I know nothing about the Halls or Lyons. When my mother was given to strangers to raise, no one payed any attention to her or her welfare. It was not until she married my father that she even knew what her real name was. They (her relation) treated her like a dog. Therefore I'm not at the least interested in any of her or my relation.

She was married to Al WATKINS.
