Joseph A. Davis (son of Henry Martin Luther Davis and Rachael E Nichol) was born June 14, 1867 in Clarksburg WVA, and died January 13, 1930 in Sisterville Wva. He married Anna Barrett on September 03, 1895 in Clarksburg WVA, daughter of Thomas Michael Barrett and Catherine Tighe.

Church records show Joe died suddenly at the age of 62. Family rumor that he committed killed himself
However this seems doubtful because he ingested lye, probably instead of some type of medicine as lye is extremely painful way to die
