Lytle, M.P. Corporal resided in Buncombe County and was by occupation a farmer
prior to enlisting in McDowell County at age 31, 10-2-1863, for the WBTS. He
mustered in as a Private, reported present in Sept.-Dec., 1863 and May-Aug. 1864.
He was promoted to Corporal in July-August, 1864.
He was married to Mary Hemphill
on 28 May 1858 in Buncombe County, NC. He was divorced from Mary Hemphill in
1868. Millington P. Lytle and Mary Hemphill had the following
