THIRD GENERATION

11. Thomas B. Lytle was born on 6 May 1816. He died on 28 Oct 1889 in Arkansas. He was buried about 30 Oct 1889 in Linwood Cemetery, Greene County, Arkansas. Thomas B. fifth child of George and Ann Lytle married Mary M. Lytle August 30 1844. Mary was a daughter of Millington and Polly Lytle. Their children were John M. and Louisa Marie. Mary died in 1856; and in 1858 Thomas married Nancy Phipps. Thomas and Nancy had two children, Leah Callie Lytle and Joseph F. Lytle. Joseph was adopted by Thomas, he was Nancy's child by a previous marriage. Sometime after the fall of 1880 the family moved to Pargould, (Greene County) Arkansas.

He was married to Mary M. Lytle (daughter of Millington Lytle and Polly Potillo) on 30 Aug 1844 in McDowell County, NC. Mary M. Lytle was born on 1 Mar 1819. She died on 1 Apr 1856. She was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Old Fort, NC. Thomas B. Lytle and Mary M. Lytle had the following children:

75 ii. Louisa Marie Lytle was born about 1854. Louisa Marie Lytle never married.

He was married to Nancy Phipps on 20 Oct 1858 in McDowell County, NC. They appeared on the McDowell County Census in 1860, 1870 and 1880. 1860: Lytle, Thomas B. 46; Nancy 38; John 13; Louisa 6; Fate (Joseph) 11; and Foster Justus 19. 1870: Lytle, Thomas 54; Nancy 48; Louisa 16; Calla 9; John 23; Calla 22. 1880: Lytle, Thomas 64; Nancy 58; Louisa 25; Callie 18; and living next door were John 33; Callie 32; Margaret 7; Mary 5; and Marie 2. Nancy Phipps was born between 1823 and 1825. Thomas B. Lytle and Nancy Phipps had the following children:
