Thomas L. Lytle came back from the Civil War and a short time later died, before
his son, Thomas Lester, was born thus Thomas Lester was named for his father
but "Junior" was not added.
He was married to Sallie Elizabeth Johnson
(daughter of Hugh Franklin Johnson and
Patience Matilda Bryson) on 12 Feb 1867 in Henderson County, NC.
Sallie Elizabeth Johnson was born on 10 Feb 1853. She died on 4
Oct 1904. Sallie E. Johnson Lytle was married to Robert B. Sitton after Thomas
Lytle's death. Robert is also buried at the Shaw Creek Methodist Campground
Cemetery. Thomas L. Lytle and Sallie Elizabeth Johnson had the following children:
