21. Martha "Tilda" Lytle was born about 1828. She appeared on the census in 1860 in Buncombe County, NC. Gragg, Avery 25; Matilda 29; Mary 7/12. They were living next door to Leander and Thomas Lytle. She died between 1862 and 1874.

She was married to Avery Gragg (son of Allen Gragg and Mary Gilbert) in Oct 1858 in Buncombe County, NC. Avery Gragg was born about 1830. He appeared on the census in 1860 in Buncombe County, NC. Gragg, Avery 25; Matilda 29; Mary 7/12. Martha "Tilda" Lytle and Avery Gragg had the following children:

116 i. Mary M. "Polly" Gragg was born about 1859. She appeared on the census. Mary appeared on the 1870 and 1880 census, living with her Aunt Lizzie and family.
She was listed as 11 years old in 1870 and 20 in 1880. Mary was living with Elizabeth (her aunt) and John Lytle and was 20 years old, in 1880 according to the McDowell County Census.
117 ii. Louisa Gragg was born about 1861. She appeared on the census in 1880 in Buncombe County, NC. Lulu Gragg was living with her aunt, Lou Hemphill. They were living next door to Dicy Burnett, another Aunt. Hemphill, Lou 40; Endora 10; Emma 9; Samuel 8; Parley 1; Louisa Gragg 18 niece; Martha 23 s-dau; Juda 1 g-dau.
