1. Captain Thomas Hemphill was born on Jul 9 1746 in Ireland. He died on May 4 1826. He was buried in Siloam Cemetery, Old Fort, NC.

He was married to Mary Ann Mackie (daughter of Thomas Mackie and Rosannah McEntire) in 1773. Mary Ann Mackie was born in 1758 in Tyrone County, Ireland. She died in Sep 1804. She was buried in Siloam Cemetery, Old Fort, NC. Captain Thomas Hemphill and Mary Ann Mackie had the following children:
