11. Rutha Hemphill was born on May 6 1794. She died on Mar 23 1847.

She was married to John Underwood Whiteside (son of John Whiteside Jr and Eleanor Kelly) on May 4 1819. John Underwood Whiteside was born on Sep 16 1797. He died on Nov 10 1886 in Calhoun County, Alabama. Rutha Hemphill and John Underwood Whiteside had the following children:

child60 ii. Thomas Hemphill Whiteside was born on Nov 28 1821. He died in Oct 1846 in Mexican War.

child63 v. Harvey Lafayette Whiteside was born on Jan 20 1827 in Rutherford County, NC. He died on Oct 1 1847 in Calhoun County, Alabama. He was ill with typhoid fever.

child+65 vii. William Jackson Whiteside.
child66 viii. Eleanor Kelly Whiteside was born on Feb 6 1833 in Rutherford County, NC. She died on Aug 24 1847. She was buried in Calhoun County, Alabama.
