Services were conducted Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer with Bro. Jetta Forsythe officiating. Burial was in the Ramer Cemetery. Mrs. Teague was the daughter of the late W. A. and Sarah J. Goins Petree and was member of the Baptist Church, and the Ramer Senior Citizens group. She is survived by her husband Paul Teague; one son Clarence R. Teague of Ramer, two daughters, Mrs. Terry Merritt of Memphis; and Mrs. Bobby F. Tillman of Ripley; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Jones, Selmer, Mrs. Etta Mae Norris and Mrs. Theda E. Murphy both of of Savannah and five grandchildren |

Notes for PAUL FRAZIER TEAGUE: Paul Frazier Teague, 80, of Ripley, died Wednesday, January 1, in Lauderdale Baptist Hospital in Ripley following a short illness. Services were conducted Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Shackelford Funeral Home in Selmer with Rev. Jetta Forsythe officiating, Burial was in Ramer Cemetery. A retired Department of Correction employee at Fort Pillow, he was the son of the late Jobe and Hanna Sanders Teague. He was a member of the Mays Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Turner Teague of Ripley; a son, Clarence Raymond Teague of Ramer; Two daughters, Mrs. Paula Tillman of Ripley, and Mrs. Brett Merritt of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Cheshier of Bethel Springs, Mrs. Oliva McCaskill and Mrs. Maxine Williams, both of Memphis; three step-daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Lewis of Memphis; two step-sons, Terry Hightower of Memphis and Bill Hightower of Dyersburg; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; 16 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren. |

The daughter of the late William Andrew Petree and Sarah Jane Goins Petree, she was a retired licensed practical nurse after 35 years of service, a member of Hardin County Senior Citizens and Church of God. Survivors include her husband Morris Murphy; six daughters Emily Willis and Gay Harville of Savannah; Gail McDonald of Counce; Patricia Knight of Selmer; Judy Jones of Prattville, AL; Sue Rodgers of Freemont, IN; one son; Gene Eastman of Monroe, Michigan; 21 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lewis Myron Eastman, an two sons, John Eastman and David Eastman. |
