140. John B. Kirby II
(1) was born on 18 Apr 1741 in Halifax
County, Virginia. He died about 1808 in Union County, South Carolina. He was
a Farmer. According to information I, Danny A. McBee, received from W. Jack
Kirby on December 8, 1997, John Kirby owned acreage adjoining his father's land
in Pittsylvania County, VA. On December 13, 1789 he consented for his son Boling
to marry Milley Campbell, daughter of Abraham Campbell. On November 29, 1792
he deeded land to his son, John Kirby III, which was recorded March 18, 1793
of said Pittsylvania County 224 acres in "County on branch of Sandy Creek
bound by Sketten, Frank Kerby and William Kerby." His will of February
1, 1808, as recorded in Union County, South Carolina. Will Book, pages 136 &
137, left all real and person estate to his wife, Jemima, and after her death
to be divided amongst his eleven children. He died three years earlier.) [Danny

bnd by Armstrong, Dan River, Brandon, 2) about 80 acres bnd by Thomas
Jones, Henry Kerby, John Price (?) being the same verbally sold by [blanl]
Kerby to the said John Kerby for which there never was a conveyance, and

mo. and day]. The words "Jemima his wife" were interlined before assigned.
