John Campbell(1) was born on 16 Nov
1674. He died on 25 Sep 1741. The Campbell Clan in Virginia, page 137 states:
John Campbell, born November 1664 [1674] on his father's estate near Londonderry,
Ireland, married Grace (Grizel, Grizzel) HAY, 1695, and moved to Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania in 1726. Later moved to that part of Orange County, Virginia, which
in 1738 became Augusta County, Virginia. He settled near Bellefont, which is
near Staunton. He died in 1741. He and all his descendants were raised and
educated after the strictest manner in the Presbyterian Church. [Danny A. McBee].
In 1726, John Campbell, with his wife and children, first settled in Pennsylvania, moving from Lancaster County, about 1730, to Virginia. [Danny A. McBee].

Betty Campbell b. 1704 marries Robert Kyle b. 1702. They are from the Aryshire region of Scotland. Sir William Kyle, father, receives land in Tyronne County N. Ireland. Hugh Campbell II is Betty's father. The daughter of Robert and Betty is Francis who marries Moses Higginbottom. My Higgenbothom research ends here, and I would like to know more about the Kyles and Campbells of Aryshire Scotland and which Campbell Clan this is.
