Danny,

I was going through some of my notes and found some on Jane Brock Mockbee that differs from your info on your webpage.

I have that her father was EDWARD BROCK(E) not William. Below is a transcript of Edward's will ( partial) taken from " MAryland Canender of Wills":

Will written 10 March 1714
Proved 19 June 1714

Edward Brock made his will March 10, in the 10th year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Ann (1714). It was proved June 19th the same year. He devised to his granddaughter MARY NICHOLS and heirs, the part of Brock hall on the E.S.[ east side] of Collington Branch. To grandsons MATTHEW and BROCK MOCKBY, plantation " I now live on" and all land adjoining, lying on S.S. [south side] of Back Branch. To [his] grandchildren of my daughter Offutt [MARY], viz.: EDWARD, WILLIAM, JAMES and THOMAS OFFUTT, sons of WILLIAM OFFUTT and daughter MARY, his wife, residue of Brock Hall on N.S.[ north side] of Back Branch, equally divided between them; grandson JOHN OFFUTT. My son-in-law WILLIAM OFFUTT my executor. Witnesses: Maureen Duval Sr. Ninean Beall,Jr.

Edward Brock was my 7x g grandfather- William and Mary ( Brock) Offutt were my 6x great grandparents- I descend from another son- Samuel.

I am working now to get a copy of the full will.

It's amazing that the McBee family and the rest of my families ( West, Offutt, Burgess) from MD continued to inter-act with each other generations later in SC.

Have you got your PC out of the shop yet? I'm looking forward to anything you can send me that might help me in figuring out the parentage for my Elijah McAbee.

Linda
