Olivia "Ollie" Howell(1)
was born about 1776 in Virginia/North Carolina. She died between 1870 and 80
in Bear Creek, Yancey County, North Carolina. She was buried in Big Rock Creek,
Mitchell County, N. C.. Ollie, 86, is listed in the 1870 Mitchell County, North
Carolina Census living
the household of her son Joseph Stanley. She is shown to have been born in
Virginia. Ollie does not show up in the 1880 Mitchell County Census. She
lived a very long life for those times. In the 1850 Yancey County, North
Carolina Census (#722), we find Ricklus Standley, 66, farmer, b. Va. and his
wife Olivia, 64, born in North Carolina. (Danny A. McBee).

Barbara Howell(1) was born about
1787 in Patrick County (Possibly Henry County), Virginia. She died in Mitchell
County, North Carolina. Barbara, supposedly, died from a rattlesnake bite in
her old age.
