188. William Sparks
(1) was born in 1725 in Frederick Co./Queen
Anne's Co., Maryland. He died on 1 Feb 1801 in Surry County, North Carolina.
I have received information from my cousin, Virginia Hoyle Wilson, that
William was the father of 9 children. Two of them were Mary Sparks who was
married to Clement Buchanan and Jeremiah Sparks who was married to Jane Bell.
William Sparks moved from Maryland to North Carolina around 1764 (according to
my cousin Thomas Greene from Bakersville, North Carolina) because he was loyal
to the crown (a Tory). He was married to Mrs. (Ann) William Sparks about 1749
in Frederick County, Maryland.
