78. William A. Hollifield ⁽¹⁾ was born about 1745 in Chester County, South Carolina. The William Hollifield family came from Chester County, South Carolina to
Rutherford County in the 1790's. They stayed in Rutherford County until
between 1810 and 1820 when they moved to Burke County, North Carolina.

79. Unknown⁽¹⁾. Children were:

i. William Austin Hollifield⁽¹⁾ was born between 1776 and 1780. He died between 1834 and 1850.
ii. Eady S. Hollifield⁽¹⁾. According to Hazel Hollifield of Rock House Creek Road, Spruce Pine, N. C.,
Eady S. Hollifield was unmarried. (Danny A. McBee).
iii. Jacob Hollifield⁽¹⁾.
iv. Esom Hollifield⁽¹⁾ was born about 1785. Esom Hollifield, age 85, farmer, is listed as head of household in the 1870
McDowell County, North Carolina Census with wife Elizabeth, age 82, and
children: Tempy, Rebecca, and Cecilia. (Danny A. McBee).

vii. Elijah Hollifield⁽¹⁾ was born on 28 Mar 1789. He died on 14 Mar 1859.
