Joseph Marion Peck (son of Jesse Anderson Peck and Theodosia Ann Jones) was born September 1867 in Tennessee, and died October 07, 1937 in Webster County, Missouri. He married Phebe Hanna Brown.

Family Stories: Joseph Marion Peck was reported to have never smoked, drank or used profanity. His only vice was chewing tobacco. He was noted for his honesty and helping his neighbors. According to Charlie Fleming, "Joe used to have Sid and the other boys help the widow Page plow and reap her crops because she had no family to help her."

His Court became known as the Ten Pound Court and was held where the weather permitted, usually barns and stockyards.

Joe and Hannah owned a home on Drury Lane near the college. His farm was approximately 80 acres. Joe was the Director of the Missouri Farm Association in 1918.
