95. HARRY12 MINALL (WILLIAM GEORGE11, SAMUEL GEORGE10, THOMAS9, JOHN8, JOHN7, JOHN6, JOHN5, FRANCIS4 MYNOLD, JOHN3, ROBERT2 MYNALL, WILLIAM1 MYLDNALL) was born 1875 in Cheshunt, and died February 12, 1943 in Childwickbury. He married (1) ADA MARY SMITH. He married (2) GERTRUDE HOPPE March 28, 1930.

Notes for H
ARRY MINALL:
My mothers sister Gertrude Horwood, married a Henry Harry Hoppe on 1st September 1909, he died of Tetanus and she subsequently married Harry Minall (a widower) on 28th March 1930 he was a stud groom employed by J B Joel the owner of Childwickbury Stud.
Harry Minall and his first wife Ada Mary Smith had two daughters which he placed in a home or orphanage prior to his marriage to Gertrude Hoppe. From what I have been told the two daughters were still alive about seven years ago.

Harry Minall and Gertrude had a daughter born on 11th June 1930 but she too was fostered immediately after birth to a couple who had a wool shop. I have a number of photos of this daughter (now deceased) taken in later years.

The father of Harry Minall was shown on both marriage certificates as William George Minall a gardener who was married to a Ellen Watts (can not find the marriage).

Harry was born at College Road, Cheshunt on 13th February 1875 and died on 12th February 1943 at Childwickbury aged 67. The funeral and gravestone was paid for by Mr Joel, but there was no mention of his "Loving wife Gertrude" on the headstone - quite strange, but she was quite strange (many rumours, a couple substantiated by myself - long, long stories). after Harry's death, Gertrude remained living in the house on Childwickbury Estate, but was told to leave by the Joels, personally, I don't think they liked her.
