Notes for Paul Frederick Fraser: Paul attended High School at Boston Latin School while living in Dorchester, MA. He and Phyllis both attended Colby College. His nickname was "Ginger" due, of course, to the color of his hair. He was a star athlete at Colby. We have a silver plaque he won in a swimming competition- Peak's Island to Portland-August 6, 1927. He was well known for his athletic feats. Paul was an officer in WWI. His brothers, Gordon and Alan Fraser, were killed in WWI. His son, Gordon, was shot down over the English Channel in WWII in 1944. We have a book titled BRITAIN'S HOMAGE TO 28,000 AMERICAN DEAD. The cover states "In Memory of Sgt. G.S. Fraser, U.S.A.A.F." |
