*Rix : He "came to New England probably about 1639-40; was in Gloucester, Mass in 1641, and stands as the patriarchal head of the Lisbon branch of the Streeter family. He was born in county of Kent, England, came here with wife Ursula, the dau. of Henry Adams of Braintree. They were admitted to the church in Charleston in 1652, the year he made his will. He probably died soon after June 10, 1652, the date of his will. After his death, she m. 2nd, Oct. 13, 1656-7, Samuel Hosier, whom d. July 29, 1665, and she m. 3rd, about 1666 William Robinson, who d. July 6,1668, and she m. 4th, Griffin Crafts of Roxbury, July 15, 1673. She d. Mar. 26,1673 [?], aged 73 (church records). His children were: Stephen, Sarah, Samuel, John, Hannah, Rebecca, and Mary (posthumus)."

*New England Families : "...probably born in Gouldherst, Kent, England, about 1600, and was a resident thereof until his leaving for America about 1639 or 1640, and he is found of record in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1642. In 1644 he is of record as a householder at Charlestown, Massachusetts, where he took his freeman's oath, May 29,1644. He and his wife Ursula united with the church, March 21, 1652. His decease quite probably occurred shortly afterward. As shown by his will he was a shoemaker by trade. "
