This site includes some of the descendants of Johannes Thayer (b1503,Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England and Richard Morton (b1640, Hartford, Connecticut).
The Thayer section follows the descendents of Johanes Thayer to John, Richardus, Thomas, Ferdinando, Isaac, Ebenezer, Noah, Elijah, Daniel, Asam, George Hiram, and John Ira. It then focuses on the descendents of John Ira Thayer, who settled in Jackson's Point, Ontario.
The Morton section follows Richard Morton who was among the first settlers of the Connecticut River Valley. He was a blacksmith and made his home at Hatfield, Massachusetts.
It also includes the descendents of Richard's Great Great grandson, Silas Morton (b 1783, Amherst, Massachusetts). Silas moved with his wife and children to Keswick, Ontario, Canada in 1824.
