various court records:
M.D. from marriage records.
have copy of deed on file, dated 4/2/1861, where David F. sold land to James M. for the sum of $35.00. Land located as described in deed: in Scioto Co., 1/5th part of the S.E. qtr. of the N.E. qtr. of Section 25, Tws. 2, Range 21.

Article[which I have a copy of on file] written in the Portsmouth Times, 11/15/1890, under the heading of Sciotoville, reads as such:
Dave Munn while engaged in mining clay in one of the banks met with a very painful accident which came near costing him his life. However, he escaped with a broken collar bone, a cut over the right eye about three inches long, three or four scalp wounds of an ugly nature, three ribs broken and internal injuries. Notwithstanding all this he is mending slowly under the treatment of Dr. Champion.
It goes on to tell of another man, Caleb Smith, also being injured, but not sure if at the same place.

Another article,[which I have on file] from the Portsmouth Blade, 2/28/1891, reads as such:
This morning David Munn passed away, rather suddenly too, as he was seemingly getting along well, and there was hope that he would get over his hurt received in the clay bank some time since, but it is supposed that poison from the wound got into the circulation, and to the brain, caused the sudden change. He will be buried this afternoon at Wheelersburg. The large family have the sympathy of all who know them. He was well known here and a hard working man.

Death cert. states that he died from injuries sustained in a claymine accident at Sciotoville, Oh.

1900 Scioto Co. Census, Porter TWS., Sciotoville prec. has her living with her mother & 2 sisters & a brother. Her b.d. is listed there as March 1880 & she is 20 yrs. old.

She had 2 miscarriages, no children. Was "skinny." Known as Aunt Lennie. info from Louise Munn.

Scioto Co. birth record, Vol. 2, Pg. 60, found listing birth of Rosa, 2/11/1880 to David & Rachel, but family is unaware of a Rosa. Need to locate death record?
OR could this Rosa & Lenora be the same daughter?? This is what I believe to be true, as the 1900 census states that Rachel had 7 children & 7 were living, & Rosa is never mentioned again, but Lenora is given the b.d. of March 1880, so probably the same person. Unless proven otherwise, this is how I will list her.

Bd. in Findlay, Oh.
