Isaac was a laborer. Isaac married a woman who already had a number of children. A newspaper , Weiser Lake Signa., Meadows, ID shows an Isaac McCumsey marrying Priscilla McReynolds on May 1, 1899 with witnesses Charles R. Myers (his brother-in-law) and Mirtee McReynolds.

Priscella died and then he married Carrie (?) One of the reports was that they moved to OR (took brother Jim with) where they lived in a log house, but Perry ultimately died in ID. In the 1910 census, Perry claimed his father was born in Wisconsin and his mother born in IA. Both appear to be incorrect.

James was born on the family homestead in DeWitt, Nebraska. He was single, disables, presumable on a war pension. He signed an affadavit regarding sister Margaret's birthdate and place. He signed Isaac Perry's death certificate. He homesteaded in ID. He said father was born in KY, mother in OH.

(Note: There was a William McCumsey in KY in the late 1700s and early 1800s. In fact, there were William, John and Robert.) Is it possible that maybe he WAS born in KY.
