Coal and Iron Co. of Belle, Sumter Co., AL and states he has a wife and three children. He has brown eyes and red hair.
      Written "Mat" 25 AL AL AL in 1920 a coal miner widowed and living with his parents. Age probably shoud be 35. The next line written "Ader" is Sidna Ada labeled "daughter" followed by three children labeled "granddaughter/son." These grandchildren must belong to Matthew.

The date of the 1930 census is Apr 24, 1930 implying that the children Elizabeth and Bedford were born in 1928 and 1929. Family sources had noted only Elizabeth giving Mar 27, 1930 as her birth date. Being born Mar 27, 1928 would make her 1-11/12 as noted by the census taker and Bedford may not have survived.
