79. Joseph HERSHEY Bishop ⁽¹⁶⁵⁾⁽¹⁶⁶⁾⁽¹⁶⁷⁾ was born on 10 Oct 1791 in Derry, Dauphin, PA. He died on 12 Apr 1856 in Salisbury, Lancaster, PA. He was buried in Hershey Mennonite Church Cemetery, Salisbury, Lancaster, PA.
Joseph Hershey was a bishop in the Mennonite Church.
The Biographical Annals of Lancaster County listed six children for Joseph Hershey and Magdalena Rupp, but Henry Hershey listed only three. It may be that the additional three were born after Henry Hershey published his book, or that the Biographical Annals erred.

Magdalena RUPP⁽¹⁴⁵⁾⁽¹⁶⁸⁾ (daughter of Andrew RUPP and Esther COFFMAN) was born on 7 Jun 1797. She died on 19 Apr 1887 in Salisbury, Lancaster, PA. She was buried in Hershey Mennonite Church Cemetery, Salisbury, Lancaster, PA. Magdalena Rupp's surname can also spelled "Roop." Joseph HERSHEY Bishop and Magdalena RUPP had the following children:
