1132. Henry Hershey HERSHEY (1649) was born on 4 Jan 1829. He died on 18 Feb 1904.
Henry Hershey engaged in numerous businesses. He worked in the oil fields of Pennsylvania, the gold fields of Colorado, and as a merchant in Chicago, New Orleans and New York. Henry designed vending machines, fruit canners and an almost perpetual motion machine based on the design by Wohlgast.

He was married to Veronica Buckwalter "Fanny" SNAVELY (daughter of Abraham SNAVELY) on 15 Jan 1856.(69) Henry Hershey and Veronica Sanvely were married at the parsonage of the Holy Lutheran Church in Lancaster, Pennslyvania. It was selected as a neutral site. Veronica was Mennonite, but Henry was not. Henry was not permitted to be married in the Mennonite meeting house because he was "a free thinker." Veronica Buckwalter "Fanny" SNAVELY (1650)(1651) was born on 4 Sep 1835. She died on 11 Mar 1920.
Fanny Snavely was a member of the Reformed Mennonite Church. Henry Hershey HERSHEY and Veronica Buckwalter "Fanny" SNAVELY had the following children:
