Anna NEWCOMER (46) was born on 25 Jul 1754 in , Lancaster, PA.(7) Anna Newcomer's birth year was given as 1752 in "The Descendants of John Brackbill Hershey....", but Gary Shaw gave 1754, which fits with her siblings better than the 1752 date. One source, cannot determine which, gave her birth location as Keedysville, Maryland. She died on 8 Jan 1832 in , Lancaster, PA. (47) She was buried in Old Hershey Cemetery, , Lancaster, PA. Anna Newcomer and Jacob Hershey moved from Dauphin County to Salisbury Township in 1792. They gave parts of their farm land for a school in 1814, for a church in 1834 and for two cemeteries.

She was married to Jacob HERSHEY Senior (son of Andrew HERSHEY Junior and Mary/Maria Catharine SNAVELY) about 1771.(37) Jacob HERSHEY Senior(48) (49)(50) was born in 1742 in Hempfield, Lancaster, PA. According to the "Biographical Annals of Lancaster County," Jacob Hershey was born in Dauphin, Pennsylvania. He died on 11 Apr 1825.(47) Another source listed the 14th as Jacob Hershey's death day. He was buried in Old Hershey Cemetery, , Lancaster, PA.
Jacob Hershey and Anna Newcomer lived on a farm owned by Jacob's father, Andrew Hershey, in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The farm was deeded to Jacob in 1791. In 1792 Jacob and the family moved to Salisbury, Pennsylvania. Anna NEWCOMER and Jacob HERSHEY Senior had the following children:

Andrew and Abraham Hershey were twins. Andrew probably died in infancy. There are no records of him after his birth.
