Notes for Bernhart Leberman:
A handwritten note in an old German Bible, states that John Barnhardt L aberman came from Essen, Germany on his honeymoon.

The 1880 Census from Darke County, OH shows a Barnhart Leberman, aged 5 8, whose birthplace was Germany.

I have also seen Barnhart's surname spelled, Lebermann. I will continu e looking for more information on this relative.
There is a Bernhard Lebermann, aged 28, a farmer from Ziegenhagen (a vi llage) in Germany who sailed to America on the ship, Ocean, from Bremen t o Baltimore arriving on 1 June 1850 with his bride, Anna Martha, aged 3 0.
