John Laurence Gormack (b. 29 October 1878, d. 5 August 1945)

John Laurence Gormack (son of John Lawrence Gormack and Mary McDonald) was born 29 October 1878 in Wairuna Clutha County, South Otago, New Zealand, and died 5 August 1945 in Balclutha Hospital, New Zealand(after accident at Balclutha). He married Jane Anne Davidson on 17 June 1908 in Puerua Church, daughter of John Davidson.

In 1887, John had an accident(after approx. 10 years of marriage), he was a long stay patient in Dunedin Hospital. The accident involved a horse and dray, but unfortunately to what actually happened, no one really knows. Johns first letter from hospital was dated 1 July and in it he speaks of his operation. He had the accident in June and rushed to hospital in Dunedin.

In 1902, John was an inspector of Machinery

His probate was filed 13/8/1945
