Isaac Josephson was in the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron(which is at Kirribilli) from 1862 to 1962.

He was one of the first nineteen foundation members on 8 July 1862.

He was the owner of a 10-ton yacht, "Ida" (named after his daughter).

Original document inaugurating the Yacht Club. Signed by the 19 Yachtsmen present is preserved, framed and displayed in the Squadron's Clubhouse.
