Die eerste vergadering van die nuwe Afdelingsraad (Lady Grey) is gehou in die Hofsaal op Lady Grey op 26 November 1926, en het bestaan uit die volgende lede:
Die Wel. Ed. J. D. Holtzhausen, Magistraat, Voorsitter, mnre, P. J. Fouche Jnr., onder-Voorsitter, J. Marais Jnr., R.P. Botha Snr., C. D. Potgieter, D. Haarhoff, H Vickers.

Mnr. D. S. P. Ackermann, Sekretaris van die Aliwal-Noordse Afdelingsraad, het ageer as Sekretaris, en mnr. J. H. Botha, L.P.R., en 'n aantal van die publiek was ook teenwoordig. Op die vergadering is mnr. S. van Aardt aangestel as Sekretaris en mnr. J. P. Saayman as Padinspekteur. Mnr. C. D. Potgieter, wat vandag nog lid van die Raad is, het aaneen gedien van die begin af. Mnre. D. Haarhoff en P.J. Fouche Jnr. het ook aaneen gedien tot hulle verplig was om hulle bedankings in te dien, mnr. Haarhoff weens ouderdom en swakke gesondheid in November 1934, en mnr. Fouche weens krankheid in Julie 1933. Die gemeenskap is die twee lede baie dank verskuldig vir hulle getroue en waardevolle dienste.
