Mr. David Naudé told the following about Dr. De Wet Vorster:
Die hoekhuis oorkant die pastorie - Moos (van Zyl) het daar gewoon. Daar het Vorsters grootgeword. Een van die kinders was De Wet Vorster. De Wet het in Duitsland gaan leer vir tandarts en toe teruggekeer na Lady Grey. 'n Amerkaanse toergeselskap het Lady Grey in daardie tyd besoek. Hy het 'n Amerikaanse dogter ontmoet en is daarna na Amerika waar hy 'n tyd lank gepraktiseer het. Hy het weer na Lady Grey teruggekeer en 'n praktyk oopgemaak in die gebou waar die huidige Kerkkantoor is. Hy het kanker in sy mond en gesig gekry en het baie pyn verduur. Daar word vertel dat hy Hotel toe gegaan het en vier dubbels brandewyn gedrink het om van die pyn ontslae te probeer raak. Hy het daarna huistoe geloop maar nie baie ver gevorder voordat die pyn terug was nie en hy is weer terug na die Hotel.

The day of the death date is not very clear. It looks like an 8. When the years months and days are added to the birth date of 17 Nov 1878, it adds up to 6 May 1910. It might be 6 May because "6 de Mei" is correct Afrikaans. If it was the eighth, it should have been "8 ste Mei" and not "8 de Mei".
