In this playful look at man and his problems, Pierre Perold rewrote the classical Greek comedy by Aristophanes and gave it a South African flavour. Manuela De Gouveia (Teacher)⁽⁵²⁾⁽⁵³⁾⁽⁵⁴⁾⁽¹²⁾⁽²⁾⁽⁵⁵⁾ is known as Manuela de Gouveia.⁽⁵⁶⁾⁽⁵⁷⁾⁽⁵⁸⁾⁽¹²⁾ She is also known as Manuela de Gouveia (Loureiro).⁽⁵⁹⁾

Manuela de Gouveia (Dance and Movement)

Manuela de Gouveia is currently head of the Lady Grey Arts Academy Dance and Movement. She started doing Ballet at the age of nine. That was the start of an auspicious career in ballet and dancing.
Manuela matriculated from the Johannesburg Art, Ballet and Music School with a distinction in Ballet, Spanish and Greek dance. Her teachers were Bernice Lloyd and Dianne Archbell. In 1978 and 1979 she received the award for Most Outstanding Ballet Soloist in the Concour de Ballet. Se also studied under Ken Yeatman and Mercedes Molina, an international authority on Spanish dancing. Manuela has also represented Portugal as a dancer in the World Championships.
She danced for PACT from 1980 for three years and was involved in promotional work for the shows. Apart from having danced solo roles from Goyescas and Les Sylphides during the Bernice Lloyd workshop held at the Civic Theatre in Johannesburg, she has also danced in ballets, operas and musicals such as Anna Karenina, Faust and Kismet for PACT Ballet.
At the moment, Manuela is training for her teacher's licentiate at the Royal Academy of Dance, the most prestigious dancing academy in the world. (LG Youth Arts Festival Program 2000)

Marliza den Heyer (Musiek)

Gebore in Pietersburg in die Noordelike Provinsie en slaag matriek aan die Hoèerskool Harrismith in die Vrystaat. Sing in die Vrystaatse Jeugkoor in 1985 en 1986. Sy studeer aan die UOVS en behaal in 1990 haar B.Mus(Ed.) en 1991 B.Mus Hons. Sy sing ook in die Vrystaatse Universiteitskoor wat aan die einde 1991 in Europa gaan toer het. Haar eerste musiekpos was aan Aqua Vista Laerskool in Oos Londen en sedert 1993 was sy musiekonderwyseres by Hoèerskool Hangklip in Queenstown. Marliza was in 1993, 1994 en 1995, ondervoorsitter en voorsitter van die Queenstown Eisteddfod. In 1998 en 1999 was sy die stigter en leier van die Misa Muse Sanggroep. Tydens haar verblyf in Queenstown rig sy ook die Eerste Netbal span van Hangklip af en kwalifiseer as SA-skeidsregter.

Malanie Ferreira matrikuleer aan die Hoërskool Despatch. Sy voltooi haar B.Mus Graad in Musiekwetenskap aan UPE in 1997 met Geskiedenis, Harmonie en Analise as hoofvakke. In 1998 behaal sy die Hoër onderwys Diploma met Musiekonderrig as hoofvak. Sy tree op as student assistent in Geskiedenis, Harmonie en Prakties (klavier en trompet). Sy neem ook deel aan verskeie ensemble werke as beide fluitis en begeleier.
In 1999 is sy aangestel aan die Lady Grey Kunste-Akademie as onderwyseres in vakmusiek balletgeskiedenis, musiekopvoedkunde en praktiese onderig . Sy dien op die Eisteddfodkomitee vir die Oos-Sirkel. (LG Youth Arts Festival Program 2000)

Botes Gresse (Voorsitter)

Botes Gresse, stigter van die Lady Grey Konsertkoor, is reeds die afgelope 19 jaar betrokke by kooropleiding en uitvoerings. Hy het sy onderwysloopbaan in 1978 aan die Hoèerskool Worcester (tans Worcester Gimnasium) begin en is in 1983 as dosent in die Departemant Skoolmusiek, Fakulteit Opvoedkunde, aan die Universiteit Stellenbosch aangestel waar hy onder andere koorleiding gedoseer het. Vanaf 1990 was hy as koormeester aan die Drakensberg Seunskoor verbonde. Tot einde 1995 het hy talle nasionale in internasionale koortoere met die Drakensberg Seunskoor onderneem, as koorbeoordelaar by kunswedstryde opgetree en koorwerkswinkels in verskeie sentra in die land aangebied.
In 1996 is hy as Musiekdirekteur aan die Lady Grey Kunste Akademie aangestel en vanaf Januarie 1997 tree hy ook op as waarnemende hoof. Hy is aangestel as hoof vanaf 1 September 1998. (Youth Arts Festival Program 2000)

Botes Gresse completed his high school education in 1973 at the Hottentots-Holland High School in Somerset West. He obtained his B.Mus(Ed) degree and Church Organist Diploma at the University of Stellenbosch in 1977 and Hons B. Mus Music Education (Cum Laude) in 1984. He also successfully completed various examinations for the South African Dance Teachers' Association (Ballroom and Latin American).
His teaching career commenced the the Worcester Gymnasium i 1980 and was appointed lecturer in the Department of Music Education, Faculty of Education, at the University of Stellenbosch in 1983.
In 1990 he was appointed choirmaster and conductor at the Drakensberg Boy's Choir School and became Associate Director of Music in 1994. He toured extensively, nationally as well as internationally, with the Drakensberg Boy's Choir, facilitated various choral workshops, adjudicated music festivals and eisteddfods and did numerous Radio and TV interviews.
In 1996 he was appointed Director of Music at the Lady Grey Arts Academy and founded the Academy Concert Choir. In 1997 he became acting headmaster and was appointed headmaster in 1998. Since then the curriculum at the Academy was extended to include the four Art disciplines Fine Art, Music (Classical and Light music), Dance and Movement, and Speech and Drama from grade R - 12. In 1999 he was also elected member of an international committee to further cultural exchange between South Africa, Italy, Denmark and Israel.
Botes is married to Maretha Rabie of the Nuy district, Worcester, in the Western Cape.

The Coronation Mass hails Mozart's genius as composer, even as a young man. There is some controversy regarding the event for which Mozart composed this work; no doubt exists that this is one of the great musical treasures of the world. Gematrikuleer in 1974 aan Stutterheim Hoèerskool, Stutterheim. Haar studie word voortgesit in B.A. Beeldende Kunste aan die Universiteit van Stellenbosch in 1975 en in 1976 vir 'n jaar in Groningen, Nederland aan die Akademie Minerva en Leraaropleiding Ubbo Emius. Daarna studeer sy aan die Port Elizabethse Technikon, waar sy in 1978 'n Nasionale Diploma in Kuns en Ontwerp (Tekstiel Ontwerp) met drie onderskeidings behaal het.
Die daaropvolgende jare bring sy in die Tekstielbedryf deur by Da Gama Textiles in die ontwerpateljee en by Jan Paul Barnard, vervaardiger van Karakoel- en sybokhaarprodukte, as ontwerpster en fabrieksbestuurder.
In 1981 word sy aangestel as dosent in Tekstel ontwerp aan die Port Elizabethse Technikon, en behaal in 1986 haar Hoèer Nasionale Diploma in Tekstiel ontwerp. In die daaropvolgende jare beklee sy 'n pos as bestuurderes by 'n Kleinhandelsaak, raak betrokke by gemeenskapsontwikkeling en -opleiding by die Stutterheim Ontwikkelingstrust en vestig haar eie Kuns en Fotografie ateljee. In 1995 word een van haar werke gekies vir die Grahamstad fees en as deel van 'n rondreisende uitstalling van Oos-Kaapse kunstenaars. (LG Youth Arts Festival Program 2000)
