Elijah Osborn, for many years a respected resident of Richland township in this county, died on Monday of last week, aged 75 years.

OBITUARY
     
Mrs. Katherine Osborn died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hardy, near Jewell, this morning at 4 a.m., aged 89 years. Mrs. Osborn left four daughters and one son, as follows: Mrs. John Hepler Sr., Defiance: Mrs. Hardy of North Richland: Mrs. Katherine Baker, of Holgate: Mrs. Mary Hellman, of Florida and Ei Baker, of Jewell. The funeral will occur from the church at Jewell at 10:30 a.m., Friday. The remains will be interred in the Rohn cemetery. Rev. Valentine will officiate. Mrs. Osborn was one of the oldest persons in North Richland and had spent most of her life there.

A PIONEER CALLED HOME

Mrs. Catherine Osborn Long Life Terminated.

Mrs. Catherine Osborne, one of the oldest pioneer of Defiance county died at 3 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter near Jewell.
Deceased was 89 years of age, a highly respected lady and was one of the early settlers of the county.
She leaves four daughters and one son. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at the house at 10 o'clock and at the Jewell U. B. church at 10:30. Rev. Valentine will conduct the services. Interment in the Rohn cemetery.

Catherine was first married to Jacob Baker. Three of the daughters and the one son mentioned in her obit were from her marriage to Jacob.
