3. John Oskins was born about 1786. He was made a member of Little Pigeon Creek Baptist Church on Feb 11 1819. He appeared on the census in 1820 in Spencer Co., Ind.. 1820 census for John Hoskin includes 2 males under 10, 1 male 26-44, 2 females under 10 and 1 female 26-44. He died in 1821. He had an estate probated on Oct 8 1821 in Spencer Co., Ind.. The Early Will Book 1818-1839 Spencer county records, page 16, Monday 10/8/1821

Linna Oskin and Wm. Stork made application to me John Morgan, clerk of the circuit court of Spencer County for Letters of administration of the estate of her deceased husband, John Oskin, which was granted them on the 12th day of October 1821 and they entered into bond and took the oath as the law directs in the penal sum of eight hundred dollars with John Brown and Samual Pickeral her security so the law directs.

Linna Oskin and William Stark filed in court an appraisement bill of the estate of John Oskin deceased, amounting to four hundred and ninty nine dollars and 29 cents, also a sale bill amounting to five hundred and four dollars and 47 3/4 cents which was admitted to record.

He was married to Malinda Oskins (unknown) before 1811. Malinda Oskins (unknown) was born before 1790. She appeared on the census in 1830 in Spencer Co., Ind.. 1830 census for Melinda oskin includes 2 males 5-10 and 1 female 30-40. John Oskins and Malinda Oskins (unknown) had the following children:
