He was made a member of Little Pigeon Baptist church on Feb 11 1819. He appeared on the census in 1820 in Spencer Co., Ind.. The census counts for the family of Joseph Hoskin include 1 male 45 and over, 1 female 45 and over and one male 16 to 25 (0 males 16-18). He died before 1831. The Minutes of the Old Pigeon Baptist church list Joseph as dead by 1831, I have information from other researchers that he died in Terre Haute Indiana in 1877 but that refers to a Joseph Hoskins who married a Nancy Thompson. That Joseph and Nancy would seem to be younger than the Joseph Oskins of Spencer county.
He was married to Nancy (unknown) before 1819. Nancy (unknown) died unknown.
