4 Feb 1840, indentured to William Jones to learn the labors of farming and other
work; sons of Benjamin Oskins; to receive 6 months of schooling and each to receive
at 21 years of age title to 40 acres.
He served in the military on Feb 18 1862 in Co F, 53rd Indiana Infantry. He
was described as 6'1", complexion dark, eyes and hair black on Feb 18 1862.
He died on Jun 29 1862 in Corinth Ms..
He was married to Mary Dukes (daughter
of William Dukes and Mary) on Nov 22
1849 in Warrick Co., Ind.. Mary Dukes was born in
