William Edwin MITCHELL died on 5 Aug 1988. Edwin and Pearl lived on the old Lankard homestead. Pearl out lived her husband. She was living there alone when I went to visit one time. She would not talk to me, nor let me see the place. I wished to see the homestead papers, she declined. She would not even let her daugther see them.

Daniel MOORE was born on 12 Dec 1764. Dainel was a Patroit. at age 17, in the Revolutionary War under General Green at Guilford Courthouse.
Iseral Boone, husband of Bettie Moore, child # 1, was a younger brother to Daniel Boone. Iseral and Bettie lived in McMinn County, TM. This information was given in a letter written by Daniel Moore to his son, George and his wife, Polly Parks, on 12 Aug 1842 from Globe Settlement, Caldwell County, NC. Daniel had just returned from a trip to NC, traveling through Vernillion County, IL, to Bloomington, Monroe County, IN,He did this at age 78 years of age. In the letter he said his legs were sore from the cold. He had gotten a box of Gray's ointment, which he thought it his legs some. He had made the trip on horseback.
Daniel's son, Nelson, was among the first settlers in Monroe County, IN. He assisted in the building of the first house in Bloomington.
Daniel's son, Washington, served many years in the Indiana Legislature. Child # 4, Elijah married Nancy Pruitt. Her mother was Sally Chambers, a widow that married George Parks after his wife Mary Polly died. Mary Polly is child # 3 of Daniel and Rachel Moore. (you need a chart to figure that one out! lsp) Parents: Jesse MOORE and Allie JOHNSON .

He was married to Rachel STONE about 1785 in Amherst Co., VA. Children were: Bettie MOORE, Nancy MOORE, Mary "Polly" MOORE, Elijah MOORE, John MOORE, Jesse C. MOORE, Nelson MOORE, Washington MOORE, William MOORE, Eliza MOORE.

He was married to Rachel CARROLL about 1808. Children were: Sallie C MOORE, Carroll MOORE, Mary Johnson MOORE.

Jesse MOORE was born on 11 Apr 1743 in Ireland. He died on 10 Mar 1827. Jesse was a Patriot in the Revolutionary War. Also his son, Daniel at only 17 years of age, under General Green at Guilford Court House.
