Prince Tommy would grin with his eyes when he wanted to tease,
Auntie would melt when he said, "Nell, come here please".
One day Prince Tommy swept Auntie off to Oklahoma;
It was there she received her wife, mother and nurse diploma.

God blessed them richly when he sent Larry, Linda and Andy;
Those precious babies were just dandy!
They have all grown and flew the nest,
But they bring back grandchildren who are the best!
For each one a quilt she has made,
Each one a work of art, that won't be put in the shade.

How can life go by so fast?
Prince Tommy and Auntie had a great love life; to the last.
Until one day God called Prince Tommy to his namsion in the sky,
Leaving Auntie here witha tear in her eye.
Letters still arrive with his name on it six times out of seven;
Auntie just reutrns them saying, "Change of Address, Heaven".

Life has gone full circle once more;
Auntie finds comfort in her dolls by the score.
She makes dolls and bakes dolls,
And dresses them better than Christian Dior!

"What is this Auntie's name?" You are going to say,
Let me tell you....In her younger days she was Nellie Faye,
But long ago she dropped the Nellie phrase,
And now she is just a Dear Faye!

"Tommy" was named "Airman of the Year" August 19, 1956. A veteran of 14 years military service, he was given an engraved plaque at the annual presentation sponsored by the 137th officers wives club.
"Tommy", an air operations specialist, began his military career when he joined the navy in 1942, after graduating from highschool at Stilwell, OK.
During World War II he served as an operations specialist in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands before his discharge in 1946.
When he joined the Oklahoma ANG in 1947, the wing was still based at Westheimer field in Norman. Tommy went to work there full time as a control tower operator.
During his ANG career, Tommy has maintained a 100 persent drill attendance and has atteded every summer field training exercise.
He also devoted time to the ANG during off duty hours, and has personally recruited 45 men in the nine years preceeding his award. Parents: Frank THOMPSON and Clemontine ROWDEN.
